Need a Pagerank 7 Link?

Amazingly, I still get emails such as this one:

Hello,

We are sending this e-mail to let our users know that we have launched a new PageRank 7 backlink campaign
to help you increase your website’s search engine ranking and receive more visitors and eventually more customers
to your business. The Pagerank 7 directories currently available are:

http://www.Edhecmba.com
http://www.Ncdcusa.org

100 links are available and links are for as low as 19USD for a year.

Instructions are included on the websites, simply visit the websites if you would like to take this opportunity.

These directories have a priority to our former users who receive this
email and will not be offered to public until Apr 25th, 2012.

Best Regards,
Leo | 10 Directory Network
8 Chingford Road, Walthamstow,

So, how many of you are jumping on this AMAZING deal? Just think, Google probably only got about 5,659 copies of this email as well. Now, everyone that buys a link on these two sites will now be targeted and will allow Google to EASILY identify sites engaged in link building methods that Google doesn’t approve.

Remember, paid links aren’t bad if you are getting them to send traffic to your site, or to be listed in a QUALITY directory (like BOTW.org). Take a look at these two sites and use COMMON SENSE to determine the plausibility of these offerings.

Got the same email today, sent to my work email address. I actually clicked through to see what the page looks like and it’s a glorified word cloud. Ain’t gonna be PR 7 for long!

I wouldn’t be surprised if Google sent out these types of email themselves, or similar.

I’ve seen examples where webmasters have received emails asking to purchase links on their sites.

A few tried to setup the deal and their sites vanished from the SERPS almost overnight.

They didn’t come back up for 90 days.

My advice, don’t buy or sell links.
